This page has been about sharing info with you. Interesting things that can keep you safe, entertain you, distract you from ACTUALLY working or just an opportunity to tell you information that you didn't know. On occasion, I'd like to use it to give you a glimpse behind the curtain about me. Most would say well that is pretty self indulgent lol. It is. Thats why I don't do it all that often. Do you really want to hear about me? Probably not. But I think when you get to know me better, you will better understand who I am, what I stand for and ultimately listen to my show. Some of you reading may know me personally. In fact, I'm certain some of you do. Maybe I should share more? It's like yesterdays post about the woman who lost all the weight (Go read it. You will love it) It takes real courage to go after something and get it. I'm sure there were times she wanted to eat a cheeseburger and she didn't. I admire that greatly. Now onto todays thoughts.....
So many times as women we feel it necessary to be a pleaser or frankly the expectation that we have to be perfect. Do you feel this way? I mean you right now are probably trying to balance your family, kids, work, house stuff, bills and other of the other stresses that life brings. Yet we continue to do the very best we can. We try to keep up with our friends, collegues, neighbors, siblings...whoever it is. We constantly feel like we failed maybe. That we didn't say the thing we wanted to say when we wanted to say it, we didn't get all the laundry done on the night we said we would, that just something in general could have been better. I'm not talking about the kind of perfection where you get upset you have a bad hair. I'm talking about the kind of perfection that makes you second guess every single thing you do. Perfectionists. We are a BIG group. Maybe we want to please because it's in our nature to feel accepted, belong, or it's for our own satisfaction. Or maybe perfection isn't what we think it is at all? Maybe it's this distant dream of something that is really never attainable anyway. So today when you are hard on yourself for whatever the day brings you can sit back and accept your grammer mistakes, run on sentences, unorganized closet at home and see all of those "flaws" as YOU. I mean if the expectation in the world was for everyone to be perfect what a boring place to be and exist. I think I'm just fine with my "flawed" perfection and you should be to. Have a great day!
