Wow, well… SUCH shocking news this weekend with the death of Whitney Houston.  Even when people have had very public struggles, it still comes as a shock to me whenever these tragic announcements are made. 

Whitney inspired so many artists and people over the years.  I can’t even begin to fathom how many of her songs I played (not to mention how many times I played them) and how much they impacted people's lives.  What an incredible gift she shared with us all. 

Thank you Whitney.

I still find this to be the best live performance of The National Anthem I have ever heard.

Host LL Cool J began the Grammy's last night with a prayer... We've had a death in our family," LL Cool J told the audience "So, at least for me, the only thing that feels right is to begin with a prayer for a woman who we loved, for our fallen sister -- Whitney Houston."
