TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) – Tampa police said they are investigating two early morning shootings.
Tampa police officers said they were dispatched to the 800 block of East Skagway at four this morning in reference to a shots fired call, with a second call identifying a subject being shot.
When police arrived, they said a subject was found at the intersection of Skagway and Nebraska Avenue. Police said the subject was transported to Tampa General Hospital with potential life-threatening injuries.
Within minutes of being on scene at Skagway and Nebraska, police said another call was received regarding another subject arriving at Florida Hospital Fletcher with a gunshot wound.
Police said it is not known if the subjects are related to the dispatched call or each other.
The investigation is active with not much information known, police said, and that this does not appear to be a random act.
According to Tampa police, witnesses are uncooperative and detectives are working to determine the identity of the two individuals shot.
