PLANT CITY, FL (TBO.com) - An Orlando man has been charged with driving while intoxicated-manslaughter in the Monday traffic death of a 52-year-old Plant City woman, officials said.
Michael B. Johnson, 54, was also charged with tampering with evidence after the 3:30 a.m. crash that killed Sandra D. Marin, Polk County deputies said.
Marin had a green arrow to turn from southbound U.S. 27 onto the ramp to eastbound Interstate 4 when Johnson’s 2004 Ford F-250 pickup truck hit her 2010 Toyota Carolla, deputies said. Johnson was northbound on U.S. 27 and traveled through a red light, deputies said.
Martin, who lived on Goldfinch Drive, died at the scene.
